What was the most memorable concert you ever attended? What made it so magical?

Green Day at Madison Square Garden on July 27th, 2009.
Got them to play my all time favorite song for me in soundcheck, a bit of my other favorite song during the show, and another song for my friend.

400 miles, 5 days, 20 hours of sleep, loads of new (and old!) friends and 4 Green Day shows. Although I am exhausted and it is time that it's over, this week was the most amazing one of my life. So many things that I thought would never ever happened did, so let me review it all.

Out of all of the shows on the tour my favorite one that was the most amazing and special in everyway was the first night at Madison Square Garden. Actually, everything about this day was perfect and in all honesty, it was better than Bowery.

Here we go again )

Fact: Mike Dirnt fucking loves me and my friends.

When Billie was on the catwalk doing the closing acoustic songs at MSG2, our last show and the spotlights were on him Mike was in the back in the dark and pointed at me, Ashley, Melissa, and Kayla, giving (our favorite) security guard, Emmanuel his picks to give to us. We blew kisses at him and he caught them, I mouthed thank you like fourteen times and I think he knew this was our last show. After coming back to his side four times in a row I honestly think know he was excited to see us every time. I heard the DC show was a basic setlist and nothing special. The Connecticut and New York shows are most definitely going to go down in Green Day history as the best on this tour and I think that we were a huge part of it, not gonna lie. I mean, we are the reason that Dominated Love Slave was played in Hartford and When I Come Around & Castaway were played at MSG1.... and Redundant for me in soundcheck. How many people can say that their favorite band played their favorite song FOR THEM? Not many. I seriously couldnt have asked for anything more from these four shows, and although I'm sad it's over, I'm fuckin exhausted and it is time to get back to real life.

Full review on the shows + pictures from Hartford later<3

Oops, I forgot that I had a draft of my GMA review saved on here for the past week but never posted it! Not as long as the Bowery review, but still pretty good ;)

Good Morning American Idiot! )

FIRST GREEN DAY SHOW EVER<3 [Monday

[ music | See The Light♥Green Day ]

For the past four and a half years I have been talking about Green Day as not just my favorite band, but three guys who mean the world to me and have helped me through my high school years. I have also been ranting on the fact that I had never seen them live and would do anything to. Although I would take any show and appreciate it, I've always had this wild dream to see them in a small New York City venue for a record release party and be front row. I really did not think that this would ever come true or if it did I wasn't expecting it anytime soon, but on May 18th, 2009 that dream finally came true...My first Green Day show was the first show played since the album came out (three days after) at Bowery Ballroom with 500 other people, right up against the stage dead center. It was seriously the best day of my life and one I will remember forever. Here is my story...

MANY, MANY PICTURES, VIDEOS, AND OVER 6,000 WORDS ARE CONTAINED BEHIND THIS CUT )
